Terms & Conditions – Sights of Athens

“Sights of Athens” offers a variety of tours, tickets and services through its website (www.sightsofathens.gr) and through designated partner websites.

By making a booking, the person completing the booking confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all passengers included in the booking.

1. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in Euros (€) and are per person, unless otherwise stated.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice until a booking has been confirmed and full payment has been received.
Once a booking has been confirmed, the agreed price is guaranteed.
Unless otherwise stated, all applicable taxes are included in the advertised price.

Children policy:

A child is defined as being aged 4-12 years inclusive.
All children under 5 years old may travel for free, provided they do not occupy a seat to the exclusion of a fare-paying passenger.
All passengers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or another responsible adult.
Sights of Athens reserves the right to request proof of age where necessary.

2. Payments

Full payment is required at the time of booking.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners Club, Masterpass and other payment methods available through our secure payment providers.
No additional processing fees are charged for online payments unless otherwise stated.
The cardholder may be required to present the payment card or valid identification upon request for fraud prevention purposes.

3. Tickets & Tour Information

All sales are final: tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded by OpenTopBus Hellas.
Tickets are valid only for the service, date and duration specified at the time of purchase.
Tickets are personal, non-transferable and may not be resold.
Tickets must be presented upon request by our drivers or authorised staff.
Sights of Athens will make every reasonable effort to operate according to published schedules. However, delays or route alterations may occur due to traffic, road closures, weather conditions, demonstrations, public events, mechanical issues or other circumstances beyond our control.
Promotional offers, discounts or partner benefits are subject to their individual terms and conditions.

4. Online Bookings

Online bookings generate a booking confirmation or electronic voucher.
Unless otherwise stated, this confirmation serves as your travel ticket or must be exchanged for a ticket at the designated departure point.
Customers should carefully review their booking confirmation before travelling.

5. Print-at-Home & Mobile Tickets

Passengers must present either:

1. a printed ticket or voucher, or
2. a valid electronic ticket displayed on a mobile device.

Failure to present a valid ticket may result in refusal of boarding without refund.

6. Special Offers & Promotions

Promotional offers are available only under the conditions specified at the time of booking.
Discounts, promotional tickets and package offers cannot be combined unless expressly stated.
Promotional products are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

Tickets may be cancelled or rescheduled only if requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Cancellation and rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before departure are not eligible for refund or amendment.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the original payment method.
Tickets that are not used without prior notice are considered no-shows and are non-refundable.
If a tour or service is cancelled by Sights of Athens, customers will be offered either an alternative date, an alternative service of equal value, or a full refund.
Sights of Athens is not responsible for delays, interruptions or cancellations caused by force majeure, including but not limited to severe weather, strikes, demonstrations, road closures, government restrictions or other events beyond our reasonable control.

8. Transaction Security

All card payments are processed through Alpha e-Commerce (Alpha Bank).
Payments use TLS 1.2 encryption protocol with 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Encryption protects your data until it reaches the recipient, who can decode it with the appropriate key.

9. Lost Property & Liability

Personal belongings remain the sole responsibility of their owner.
Sights of Athens accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings.
Items found by our staff will be retained for seven (7) days.
Unclaimed items may be donated, disposed of or otherwise handled at the Company’s discretion after this period.
Any liability arising from proven negligence by Sights of Athens shall be limited to the value of the affected tour or service.

Company Property
Any equipment or property provided by Sights of Athens for use during a tour or service remains the property of the Company. Customers are responsible for the safe return of all items in the condition in which they were provided, allowing for normal wear and tear. In the event of loss, theft, damage, or destruction while in the customer’s possession, the customer agrees to reimburse Sights of Athens for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.

10. General Conditions

Smoking, including electronic cigarettes and vaping devices, is prohibited on board.
Hot food and hot beverages are not permitted on board for safety reasons.
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise specified.
Travel insurance is not included. Customers are strongly advised to obtain suitable travel insurance before travelling.
Family tickets are issued as a single booking and all members must travel together.
Passengers are responsible for arriving at the departure point on time. Sights of Athens accepts no responsibility for missed departures due to late arrival.
Sights of Athens reserves the right to refuse boarding or remove any passenger whose behaviour is abusive, threatening, intoxicated, dangerous or disruptive to other passengers or staff.
Sights of Athens reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, prices, departure points or itineraries where operationally necessary.
Services may be cancelled due to insufficient demand, operational reasons, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our control.
No employee or representative is authorised to amend these Terms & Conditions unless such amendment is confirmed in writing by an authorised director of the Company.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Greek courts.
