Terms & Conditions – Sights of Athens

“Sights of Athens” offers a variety of tours, tickets and services through its website (www.sightsofathens.gr) and through designated partner websites.

Our Terms and Conditions contain legal obligations, and as a result we highly suggest reading them carefully.

In all booking arrangements, the person making the booking shall accept these conditions on behalf of all the persons named in the booking.

1. Prices

Prices are based on known costs at April 2014.
Prices shown on our website are per person, unless stated otherwise.
Prices may change until the confirmation of the booking.

Children policy:

A child is defined as being aged 5–15 years inclusive.
All children under 5 years old may travel for free, provided they do not occupy a seat to the exclusion of a fare-paying passenger.
All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

2. Payments

Sights of Athens accepts the following Credit Cards through PayPal: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Diners and Masterpass.
There is no extra charge for processing credit card payments or PayPal.
Full payment of the chosen service is required at the time of booking.
The cardholder must be present when presenting the ticket.

3. Tickets & Tour Information

All sales are final: tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded by OpenTopBus Hellas.
The ticket is valid for daily use on the “Sights of Athens”.
Tickets are personal and non-transferable.
Retaining your ticket entitles you to a 30% discount on the hop-on hop-off train in Piraeus.
Tickets must be available for inspection at any time by the driver or other staff.
Sights of Athens will make every effort to run on schedule, but routes may be delayed due to traffic conditions.

4. Online Tickets

Online tickets are booked with the understanding that ticket confirmations are prepaid vouchers.
These must be redeemed for a valid travel ticket upon arrival at any tour location.
All email tickets/vouchers must be pre-printed before arrival.

5. Print at Home or E-Tickets

For ‘Print at Home’ bookings, present your voucher as either:
- a printed copy, or
- an e-ticket on your mobile device.
You must bring either the printed voucher or e-ticket with you on the day of travel.

⚠️ NO TICKET, NO ADMISSION.

6. Special Offers

All offers displayed on the website can only be booked online.
Discounted walking tours must be used on the day of your tour and cannot be carried forward.
Discounted touristic train tours must be redeemed on the day of issue.

7. Cancellations & Compensation Policy

Tickets can be canceled only 24 hours before the travel date.
All sales are final: tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded by Sights of Athens.
If your ticket is unused, you may be allowed to use it on another day.
Sights of Athens will make every effort to maintain regular service but does not guarantee it.

We are not responsible for:

loss or damage of tickets,
inconvenience, delay, alteration, suspension, cancellation, or termination of service.

8. Transaction Security

All card payments are processed through Alpha e-Commerce (Alpha Bank).
Payments use TLS 1.2 encryption protocol with 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Encryption protects your data until it reaches the recipient, who can decode it with the appropriate key.

9. Loss & Damage

Items left on the sightseeing bus or touristic train are left at the owner’s risk.
Sights of Athens accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to items.
Our liability is limited to a maximum refund of the tour cost, and only in cases of negligence by our employees.

10. General Conditions

🚭 Smoking is not permitted on board.
For safety reasons, no hot food or drinks are allowed on board.
Seats are first come, first served.
Travel Insurance is not provided. We strongly recommend purchasing a comprehensive Travel Insurance Policy before departure.
No agent or employee may alter these conditions unless signed by a Director.
Tickets remain the property of the company and must be available for inspection by staff.
All bookings are subject to Greek Law.
Family tickets are not issued as individual tickets; groups must stay together when using a Family Ticket.
Sights of Athens may:
- require any person to withdraw from a tour if their behavior is offensive,
- cancel tours due to lack of demand or other reasons,
- alter prices, destinations, or itineraries as needed. Every effort will be made to inform passengers in advance.
If a passenger arrives late at the starting point or any stop, the Company assumes no liability.
